Taking good quality photos of fireworks is extremely difficult with a standard "shoot and click" camera - even with modern technology offering high resolution compact cameras
at budget prices. The pictures in the 2007 and 2008 galleries were taken a with digital SLR camera and high quality lenses which enabled Ian Turner to take multiple shots at very high shutter speeds, producing some amazing results.
The event held in 2008 was a massive disappointment to all involved, as we witnessed torrential rain - many fireworks displays were in fact cancelled that particular year - but Ian still managed
to get some fantastic shots in the abysmal conditions - click through to see if you were snapped!
In 2009 we were reliant on capturing the weekend's event ourselves and, for the first time, really relied on members of the public to help stock the galleries with more pictures. Please click through below and enjoy the show! |
