Travel information

Lake Meadows is well served by local transport routes including road, train and bus from across Essex.  However, there are some important changes this year so please read this section thoroughly.

We strongly recommend that local people walk to and from the venue and people coming from further afield either car share or consider using public transport as the road network will be busier than normal and parking is limited. Please see below map indicating traffic managements plans for event:-

As a result of major engineering works on the Southend train line, the NCP Billericay Station Car Park is NOT available this year.

The main car parking (entry from 4.30pm; exit by 9.30pm) for this year’s event will be 700 free spaces at Sun Corner/QEII field (Satnav = CM12 9LD).  A further 220 free spaces are located behind Iceland in the High Street (Satnav = CM12 9AT).

In Radford Way, DCK have kindly made 100 free spaces available to us (Satnav = CM12 0DZ).  There are 60-70 free spaces behind 38 Radford Way and Molineaux Court (off Radford Way; Satnav = CM12 0BT).

In Radford Crescent there are approximately 200 free spaces made up of business frontages, rear of industrial units and staff parking kindly made available to us by local businesses. Once the capacity has been reached, the road will be closed to all traffic apart from Blue Badge holders where limited spaces will be reserved in the BDC car park (Satnav = CM12 0DR).

On Stock Road, use of the St Andrew’s Centre car park has been kindly granted to us for the evening, offering around 60 free spaces (Satnav = CM12 0BJ).

There are disabled/Blue Badge holder spaces at the main gate entrance accessed in Radford Crescent. Please contact us at in advance so that we can reserve suitable parking for you.

Due to the sheer volume of people and traffic, delays are likely at the end of the event.  We appreciate your patience in advance.

The number 100 bus runs between Chelmsford, Galleywood, Stock and Billericay rail station; from the opposite direction, the same service runs from Lakeside, Grays, Stanford-le-Hope, Corringham and Basildon in to Billericay rail station. Please check the full timetable before travelling.

Billericay rail station, which is very close to Lake Meadows park, is on the main line between Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street, with trains stopping frequently at Stratford, Ilford, Seven Kings, Goodmayes, Chadwell Heath, Romford, Gidea Park, Brentwood, Harold Wood and Shenfield; from Southend, the stops include Rochford, Hockley, Rayleigh and Wickford.

On 4th November there are major engineering works taking place as a result of Crossrail, track renewal, overhead line renewal, and major project work and lines are blocked between Liverpool Street and Witham / Billericay all day.
